This privacy notice explains how Trem Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 16424151 ("we", "us", "our"), collects and uses your personal data when you use the Trem iOS and watchOS application (the "App"). We are the controller of your personal data for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation ("UK GDPR") and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. What the App does (and why that matters for your data)

Trem is a tool for people living with essential tremor. It uses the motion sensors in your Apple Watch to record movement data, applies frequency analysis to detect tremor-like motion, and lets you log tremor events so that you can review patterns over time. It is a wellness and self-monitoring tool only — it is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Because tremor and movement data can reveal information about your physical condition, we treat it as special category data concerning health under Article 9 UK GDPR and apply additional safeguards described below.

3. The personal data we collect

3.1 Data you provide directly

• Account data: email address and a password hash (managed by our authentication provider, Supabase). Optional profile fields you choose to add (e.g., display name).
• Tremor logs: subjective entries you make in the App (e.g., "tremor started 14:20, lasted 10 minutes, severity moderate"), optional free-text notes, and timestamps.
• Support correspondence: the content of any emails you send us.

3.2 Data collected automatically from your device

• Raw motion data: accelerometer and gyroscope samples from your Apple Watch, recorded at up to 100Hz (or 800Hz on Apple Watch Series 8 and later, when enabled), plus derived values such as magnitude and sample rate. Each sample is 38 bytes (timestamp, XYZ acceleration, magnitude, XYZ rotation, sample rate).
